After some initial confusion with our reservation, the staff at this restaurant put in a lot of effort to make our large party a success. They were very accommodating in splitting the drink bills, and even though the food took a bit of time to come out (which actually added to the lively atmosphere and conversation), everyone had a fantastic time. The highlight of the evening was moving downstairs for some karaoke fu... View all feedback.
What Rozjen doesn't like about Brazen Monkey Karaoke:
At the Leicester Square Piazza venue and after struggling to find it we found the staff had no idea how to work the machines and initially we couldn't get any music to play. The room was filled with song books but none of the songs in them were actually in the machine which seemed to have been filled by someone who stooped listening to music in the early 1990's. Luckily we had a wide age range and everyone loves a bi... View all feedback.
I booked for our Xmas work event and we had a really amazing time. They made the whole booking experience totally painless for me which was very much appreciated considering we were a group of 60. We didn't eat but the drinks and service were excellent. Everyone loved the karaoke and we're coming back next year if they'll have us :
Went here this evening with 9 colleagues from work. We had booked a 5-9 slot buffet for £25 each. Firstly the venue is poorly signposted and if you didn't know the address you would never find it as it is part of a resturant. Our friends had not arrived so we decided to have a drink whilst we waited. When everyone arrived the manageress demanded we pay a room fee of £150 and that we had to pay our bar bill before we went downstairs. Her attitude made us feel unwelcome and it left a bad impression. She treated us like we were going to abscond without paying. Now we are a group of Middle aged academics on a night out and felt that this would be a good experience. Unfortunately the attitude of staff at this place dampened our enjoyment. We then went to a room with a karaoke machine a few chairs. It was also been used as a store room as materials were stored in a corner. A few disco lights lit the room but the ambiance would have been better in a shed. Determined to have a good time we got to singing. The food if you could call it that arrived at 1940 cold/Luke warm and not of a good quality. The food consisted of Spanish omelet, pizza, small chicken nuggets, hams and I think a battered fish although from the taste it could have been anything. For the price charged you would expect better. Then at approx 2030 the bill arrived and then subtle or in reality not so subtle hint to leave. This is a place you go when you are drunk and after already had food. However my recommendation is to avoid this place. There are better places to go in London.
Booked for a hen party of 20... We had the set menu two course dinner and a glass of wine then karaoke all for £30. This I thought was amazing, great deal the food was nice and the karaoke was in a different room. we had the room to ourseleves and were left to our own devices. Every time we wanted a drink we just went to the bar and did pay as you go so that it didn't get confusing having a bill at the end. We all had a lovely time, don't know where there are bad reviews, for that amount of money you can't go wrong!
I was little confused when I first walked in as we actually came into a restaurant, but when we were led to the private room we were very impressed. it was a massive space and the selection of songs was great! The staff mostly left us alone but as there was a full bar in the restaurant we could grab drinks whenever we wanted. We actually ended up grabbing some food after which was also very good. All in all I definitely recommend this place if you are a big group.
I booked a large karaoke room for my wife and a group of friends for her birthday recently, and we had such a great night I think I will be in her good books all year...! The staff were welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout the night, despite the fact that I got the time wrong and we turned up an hour after I booked it for this was compounded by the fact that the bar itself is quite tricky to find. However, rather than charge us for the hour we didn't use they allowed us to stay an extra hour at the end to ensure we had the amount of time we'd paid for. When they found out it was my wife's birthday they gave us a bottle of bubbly on the house all round great customer service. The room was comfortable and the song choice was as vast as we required, in fact the whole thing was faultless. I would definitely recommend it to anyone after a karaoke night in London.P.S. I can see why it is especially popular with hen parties as a few of my wife's friends took a shine to the manager Chris apparently a bit of a looker...
