Very professional in terms of service, atmosphere and food. Having been here a few times over the years I would say that it used to be excellent and has slipped to very good. The classics are well done but a crab starter was disappointing and a Cesar salad was also not up to standard. View all feedback.
What Pete Ross doesn't like about Brasserie Chavot:
The atmosphere of this restaurant is very reminiscent of a hotel breakfast room. The food is decent, though the coffee could be hotter. You are basically paying for the location. There is nothing inherently wrong with it, but I personally prefer Cecconi if I am in that area of town. View all feedback.
A nice family meal was had . relaxed freindly atmosphere. good food and wine at a good price. a good all round menu with something for all to try.
We had Christmas lunch at Chavot. They made a wonderful fixed lunch, including a turkey based main course, followed by sticky pudding. All things considered, the price was rather reasonable.
Excellent food in a cosy and elegant atmosphere. Rich flavours with a spotless presentation. Try to leave space for the dessert but it's going to be hard with the main courses. Waiting to see the new address of this great chef.
Probably one of the best French brasserie in London. Typical French meals are present on the menu like the blanquette de veau and other could be prepared on demand like the choucroute. The ceviche and carpaccio come with the signature dressing of the chef, they must be tried. The duck and the cote de veau are prepared in the typical French south west way. Excellent and well priced. Decent wine list and and good service.
This is amazing, the lunch menu is so competitive in price and excessive in terms of quality. Even better, have a drink first in the polo bar next door and then have lunch. The soft shell crab was amazing! Definitely another booking is due!
