This is my second time and generally the food is good as we love tapanyaki style . Service was attentive and the chef was very pleasant and gave a competent display of his skills and cooked very well. Only complaint the crispy garlic came cold rather than being cooked on the grill and was pricey. The biggest disappointment was there was no Sushi or Sashimi service being a Sunday evening. What OpenTable Diner doesn't like about Benihana At The Grange St Pauls:
The place is very tastefully decorated and it feels more like an evening place rather than lunch. We had a 50% off A La Carte menu so tried it for a team lunch. Starters were small and disappointing. Let me down for my girlfriends surprise birthday said they forgot about it! Then brought the table next to us a birthday dessert was completely let down!!
Great food and great concept it was fairly quiet when i attend which i was surprised by as i had tried to make a slightly later booking but i think they may have only had 2 chefs working. not quite so much flare as the one in mayfair and they had no sushi which was a disappointment.

Enjoyed the food, however was a bit let down about the lobster as it was over cooked and rubbery also the entertainment as I expected the chef to be more interactive with us. Was a nice experience overall but not worth the money I paid.

This was Understandable but show be made clear on the website as I made the booking on line. Despite this we had an enjoyable evening and enjoyed the meal. A little pricey but it’s is London
