I was recommended to visit this unassuming sushi bar. From the outside it does not look like much and honestly, I tried another place first, but the queue was too long...and I am glad it was. The sushi is all made fresh and great selection. It is a bit more expensive that comparable places, but well worth it and not overly expensive. You can create your own mixes right there. As it is fresh, it takes a few minutes fo... View all feedback.
What setsunaze doesn't like about Atariya:
Visited Atariya to satisfy our sushi/sashimi craving. Had the nigiri sets which were served in takeaway trays despite eating in. Definitely no ambience to speak of but at least there's no service charge. The nigiri sets were about £22 for a medium (9 nigiri and 6 small maki), and £24 for a large (11 nigiri but some of the sushi having better ingredients, ootoro instead of chutoro). Atari ya offers fish to many places in the environment of london, while also a few shops themselves that offer some of the best to take away sushi they could have hoped. the pricing is quite reasonable according to central standards and the quality can be guaranteed with its call as a whole sale with great value for it. perfect place to lunch when they are in oxford street.
When a sushi withdrawal from Japanese expats is visited, they know that it is legit. atariya is not nonsense sushi made with excellent ingredients. the waiting coils are long, do not expect a stellar service. they tend to be very generous with washabi, they might ask them to go easy. unless they enjoy the annoying thrill of a moment when caused by accidental swallowing too much wasabi or are a samurai.
Great place for sushi, but it must be there early as there are not many seats. also it was favorable to be in a very central position. was also nice to watch people during lunch.
Excellent quality no ruffle sushi. really high-quality fish and modest prizes, definitiv one of the best secrets londons! .
Always fresh, always good, comparatively very cheap. Hands down the best takeaway sushi in London The menu is perhaps not the easiest to navigate or get the best out of if you don't know what you're looking for.
