The oatmeal deluxe was the bomb!!! I was welcomed by the family dog who greeted me with his toy and was ready to play. I luv this place. Did a little Christmas shopping as well. Such eclectic findings and old school candy surprises. A must to visit!!! View all feedback.
What Monika Deskur doesn't like about Apple Dumpling Cafe:
One choice for dairy free, gluten free dietary restriction. This was the salad platter made up of a lettuce base with scoop each of ham salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, and potato salad. Mostly mayonnaise and not much flavor. Ate the tunafish and left the rest, a sloppy pile on the plate. Hubby had a meat panini, tasty but a bit greasy. Dietary restrictions: No offerings for gluten free, no gf bread or wraps. View all feedback.
You can seat yourself in the restaurant, either inside or on the patio. The cabin-like structure and farm views gave me a nostalgic camping vibe. The space is quite large with plenty of tables, but be aware that there are signs indicating a maximum of four people per table (at least outside). If your group exceeds four, you'll need to split up. We chose to sit outside for a quieter experience, but were warned about the presence of bees. If you prefer to avoid dining with bees, it's best to choose an indoor table. To help keep the bees at bay, we poured some syrup onto an extra plate and set it at the far end of our table, which seemed to distract them from our food. The service was commendable. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and despite the restaurant being busy, we didn’t have to wait long for our food. I ordered a short stack of pancakes with apples. While a short stack of just two pancakes might not sound like much, they were enormous—about the size of your face. I felt full even without ordering any meat on the side. However, they were so delicious that I found it easy to finish them. The pancakes were light and fluffy, generously filled with fresh, juicy apple pieces. Overall, the meal was reasonably priced, making it a satisfying breakfast that offered a refreshing alternative to traditional diners or brunch spots. I would definitely return.
Great home made food with pleasant atmosphere. We were there for breakfast and blueberry picking. We enjoyed a lot both food and service were amazing!
Quite honestly, this is one of the best restaurants and family fruit farms in all of Broome county. From delicious breakfasts to fresh baked pies, with seating indoors and out on the wrap around porch. Attention to detail is excellent. It takes us about 25 min to reach it and my family and I have eaten at the restaurant dozens of times. At their fields we’ve picked strawberries (no longer available as of the time of this review), raspberries, blueberries (my favorite) and more. I can’t say enough good. It’s a treat, every time.

The establishment boasts outdoor seating on a spacious wraparound porch and is open for breakfast only on Sundays. Parking is conveniently located next to the building, though it's situated on a hill. For those with mobility issues, you can pull up next to the door to assist wheelchair users and others who might need a little extra help. Kid-friendliness is a highlight here; children enjoy interacting with a few farm animals that they can feed. Plus, there's food available in the store for just a quarter, making it easy to treat them to some ice cream filled with goodies!
