I appreciate its inclusiveness, versatility, and the sense of community it cultivates. As a performance venue, Smith's hosts a wide range of musical acts, providing opportunities for local artists to showcase their talents through variety shows and open mic jams. The diverse range of musicians and bands that perform creates a unique atmosphere each time I visit. The cafe has a homely feel, with most of its food being freshly baked in-store, including delicious vegan options like peanut butter brownies. The coffee is great, and the baristas are talented. The bar offers house cocktails and a selection of good wines. Smith's is a welcoming and accepting space where people feel comfortable and respected. The presence of a donated piano and other instruments outside reflects the venue's commitment to community, creativity, and accessibility. This place is important to me and many others, and I love watching it evolve with the diverse array of people who pass through its doors.

The atmosphere is beautiful, with a mix of relaxed folk, hippie, and shabby chic vibes, topped off with a hip and cool touch. They even have a piano outside for anyone to play! Instruments are scattered around inside as well. Nigel and the staff are friendly and easy-going. The music, art, and entertainment they offer is diverse and fantastic.
