Whilst the menu is extensive (and the wine list even more so) the steaks take pride of place at the Capitol. Open plan, so a little noisy but not overly so, you even get a view of the dry aged steaks in glass cabinets. We all had beef of some description and were universally impressed. My request for "blue" was spot on - lightly charred on the outside and still very red in the middle. A good range of sides. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Capitol Bar and Grill:
Staff were welcoming and pleasant, but it's all harsh surfaces and loud music. Acoustic nightmare. Don't go there if you are over 40. The menu is long and badly laid out. I found little to tempt me and settled on a steak and pea mash for $48.00. It was not special. Wine by the glass was also very pricey. I thought the "speakeasy decor" failed. If you are staying at the hotel, go out and find somewhere better. View all feedback.

We had a large group, with some different nutritional requirements. capital bar and grill fulfill all these requirements and did not try to press us on a set menu that many places do. the personal was incredibly attentive and absolutely delightful
I was already a couple of times for work and private dinner and the service, eating, drinking and atmosphere was always excellent.
My family and I sat here on Sunday 30 september for dinner. eating was excellent, we had the crab cakes, pork belly and the qt rib eye, which perfectly cooked and well accompanied with the pea’s please.
The food was great.The wine list was very good and the prices very competitive. The atmosphere lively but still very chilled. The most exceptional aspect of the evening was the service. The staff were amazing. Young people who were friendly, helpful and focussed on their customers.
