Driving by and stopped for a simple lunch. Nice outdoor patio and friendly staff. Very well done crostini with tomato, mushrooms, truffle paste and warm lardo. An excellent pasta with truffle, a tasty and unusual cacio and pepe. Creamy and made with a pecorino de fosse. Nice mixed salads as well. The only negative was the tasteless, watery house white wine. What Mylene C doesn't like about La Collina:
The first night in Milano and made a wrong choice to this expensive restaurant with deep fried Calamari which you get from imbiss (cheap fast food) and costed 50€!! View all feedback.
I highly recommend booking a table outside on Piazza Saint Alessandro to fully immerse yourself in the beautiful atmosphere and authentic ambiance. The outdoor setting adds an extra touch of charm to the dining experience. Make sure to try their risotto milanese and ravioli with gamberi we liked it!
The staff, especially the Filipino waiter, were fantastic. The food is below average in my opinion for Italian food. The handmade ravioli was so-so and the wine list was short. But I still enjoyed my visit and I would go back again but order something different than pasta. My wife had roast beef and it was absolutely amazing.

I have eaten here 4 times now, in late Autumn and again in Spring, I can't recommend it enough and can't wait to try it again in Summer. The food is excellent and there is a wide variety of traditional seasonal produce and great pizza's. Pizza's only in the evening though. The staff are very friendly and attentive. But beware as it is very popular on weekends so I advise to book or go early!
Up in the hills a few kilometres out of Città this is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner or just an afternoon drink if you want. The food is excellent and the location is absolutely wonderful. The family who run it are extremely friendly and nothing is too much. Can't wait for our next visit. John Diana
