Mr. Taco - Cicero

I haven't eaten there for years, so I guess $18.00 is the course for three steak tacos, beans and rice. The food and service is still top notch and they have always made me feel welcome.

This is a great, hole in the wall taco place with five 4-person tables (and two smaller tables as well and late night hours (until 3am, and 4:30am on Friday and Saturday . There's a bathroom in case of emergency. The guys all know me, know my order (steak taco dinner with two tacos, not three , and make it exactly the same way every time. The green hot sauce is really good, and the carrots and jalapeños (Escabeche? Who in Cicero calls it that are plentiful and also really, really good. The steak tacos start with a piece of steak, tossed on the grill and cooked fresh for you (not a bunch of dried out steak pieces that have been sitting on the grill for hours . It is not the finest cut of meat, but damn does it taste good when it's seasoned and grilled. The cheese is placed directly on the grill and the corn tortillas are placed on top of that. Then it's all put together for you on a plate with mexican rice and refried beans. Horchata, jamaica, some lime drink, some pineapple drink or fountain drink, as you wish. Behold! (Cash only, I think, but there is an ATM inside.

Some by far great food for a medium location. So delicious and delicious the Rock Steak in the Tacos and Burrito. The Burrito was so good and filled that you wish you could eat another one.

Mr Taco has some of the most delicate tacos you will ever experience. Warm and fresh served. Enjoy her carrot plant blindly.
