Amador City Coffee Grill - Ciaul

Actually I didn't expect much from Sukabumi. So far there hasn't been a place to eat that is really interesting for me to visit. This is the first time I visited Amador and I can judge that this place is quite good, for a city district restaurant. A little disappointed at first, bought their signature menu, smoked beef platter (150gr). Actually the taste of the meat is delicious, the spices are just right, the sauce goes well with the taste of the meat. What is very unfortunate is the overcooking process, several times I ate meat that was burnt to the point of charcoal, like dendeng. But the inside of the meat (which is not burnt) tastes really good, hopefully the cooking process can be improved further. The employees were not very responsive, I had to shout loud enough to call one of them. The settlement process took a long time, I waited about 15 minutes for them to make a decision to give me a refund, and it took 40 minutes to change my menu. The replacement menu that I ordered was tenderloin 200gr. The meat was tender and looked cooked quite well, the sauce was a bit annoying when combined with the sauce, the vegetables and potatoes served with the streak were also less than delightful. I quite appreciate the politeness of the employees, even though the problem solving process is quite long. The atmosphere is quite good. It's just that the song playlist selection is a little annoying. Employees have to go back and forth to skip ads (don't use a premium account). After Isha, there is live music. The performers presented their performances very beautifully, fitting the atmosphere. Just a little suggestion, please lower the sound even more on the speakers.

Tried the medium rare steak and the smoked beef platter. The beef platter was a little too crunchy to the point that it was unpalatable, we complained and they offered to take it back and refund without too much fuss which was a plus point. The steak was pretty good though for what you could get in this town, juicy 200gr and complemented well with the demi-glace sauce. Drink offerings kinda meh for steak and beef. Seems like a lot of people go here for the rice bowls and we didn’t try those, so no comments. Staff can be a little hard to reach if you sit outdoors, they group in one place near the cashier indoors and you gotta yell. Live music peeps were amazing so there’s that. OK place for the food; they could do way better with what they seem to be able to have. I’d do the steak again if there weren’t other options (rather scarce in Sukabumi even in the town). For a casual Friday night hangout it’s a good place. Dietary restrictions: OK for keto
