Cosy small café with good, traditional café food. Very nice, extremely friendly staff, although a bit on the pricey side. Would recommend when alone or with a small group :
A favourite. The best meat pies in Wellington the steak and red wine is excellent lovely salads and always a good range of delicious naughty delicacies. Very friendly efficient service. Good coffee too!
Although quite small, with just one table seating 8 and a side bar with a few barstools, it's a nice place for a deli/café type meal. Quite a lot of window food and menu for other bits and bobs.
Highly recommended.<br A cool, modern little cafe deli, duck egg blue and grey paintwork give it a nice tasteful aspect a heated outside seating area and inside a couple of small, and one larger, shared table it had a Ponsonby feel (in a good way).<br <br Counter cabinet filled with a small (good) but brilliant looking pastries, pies and a few cakes all most? Cooked in house. Again there was a small but extremely good selection of cheese Roquefort, Gorgonzola picante ...... with a few meats, black pudding etc.<br <br The walls also displayed a small selection of deli processed goods that weren 't necessarily the run of the mill stuff you usually find.<br <br We ordered two flat whites they were close to perfect Karamu coffee well made.<br <br Bacon butty with 'deli relish ' was two slices of toasted sourdough with bacon, fried egg and a warm tomato onion sauce laced with warm cinnamoney spices. It was great.<br <br Granola came with apple, banana, yoghurt and milk on the side. Perhaps one the nicest granola 's I 've tasted delicious.<br <br Service was excellent.<br <br Overall I regret not having found this place earlier It is seriously good and I personally think its the best Wellington cafe north of Hillside in Thorndon. I 'd certainly drive across town for the breakfasts. It 's a pity khandallah is so far away good suburban eateries need to be encouraged.<br <br Foodies; yes<br Kids; yes but it is small and no guarantees about seating.<br <br PS. The low rating that this cafe has is weird and frankly silly.
Popped along for brunch with the wife and was very impressed. Had the black pudding hash and it was lovely and the wife had the chorizo and potato Bravas which she really enjoyed. Great flat white too!! Will definitely be back.
