Las Vigas Merida, México

This restaurant offers very good local food, portions are very big, everything is very tasty, well presented and the price is also not very high, definitely a good place!

A pub/bar upstairs from a small hotel lobby. I wasn't sure I was in the right spot so I asked the girl standing behind the hotel reception counter and she just kinda nodded her head. I carefully went up the narrow stairway which led me to what looked like an empty space with tables and chairs. Turning to the right, you see where the action is. I was told to sit anywhere. Asked for an English menu but they had none and none online either. Not very welcoming at this point so far. Then a guy came over who sounded and looked like an American and gave me a rundown on the menu. I chose the ribs which is what the guidebooks told me to get. They were very fatty and a much smaller portion than you would expect from an order of ribs. And the fries were cold and tasteless. I wouldn't return.

Great value feel-good food returns. If you're craving a local specialty, Try the ceviche and the poc-chuc. You can also get wings, hamburgers, fries, burritos, and a selection of pasta, fish, pork, and beef. The meals are hearty and freshly prepared. Las Vigas is now open 12-8 every day for delivery and takeout. I've been visiting Las Vigas every trip to Merida for three years. Good food, upbeat atmosphere, personable owner, and a terrific staff make this restaurant a stand-out in Centro. We won't get to hang out there for awhile, but we can still enjoy the food. Their menu is posted on their FaceBook page. I'm hoping they get a lot of support. I had a lot of good memories when I stopped by their takeout station.

Excelente lugar para comer, todas las cosas del menú muy ricas las que probé que fueron como la mitad estuvieron de maravilla, deliciosa comida, buen ambiente, tienen mucho cuidado con la limpieza, cobran con todas las tarjetas, los meseros son atentos Sin duda un lugar que visitaré cada que venga a Mérida.
