BOMB tacos here!! It's located in a small food court and the vibes in the food court are immaculate. The Padres were playing and they had it streaming on the tvs and the crowds were cheering everytime they made a play. Anyways, the tacos, especially the adobada, were so good. There were juices dripping out of the tacos and they gave a lot of guac and salsa. Would highly recommend this palce. View all feedback.
What Technical Team doesn't like about Taquería El Poblano:
I got campechena fries and I was expecting a good comparison to Tacos el Gordo. I should have went with what I know. For $20 fries I expect a container that is not disturbed with compartments for a fries order. Also if you're gonna serve black guacamole at least mix it so I'm less aware. On second thought. It more a 2, flavor, presentation and pricing all acounted for. 1st time here. View all feedback.
Man, el cacho next to it was horrible. I ordered four fish tacos and waited for like 40 minutes!
We got there at 9:50am and they wouldn't take our order. Person was late and finally took our order at 10:10am. By then there was a long line. They were suppose to open at 10. We ordered the following items Vampiro de carne asada- meat was bland and hard. The tostadas where burned to a crips. Taco de adobada- meat was cold and lacked flavor Quesadilla- cheese was not completely melted. Tacos de birria- the tacos had so much sauce that it was impossible to eat because tacos were soggy and super spicy. Would not come back
Want real TJ style tacos in East Chula Vista, this place is the best option.
The tacos are good. I really like them. The Taco Popotla is my favorite. Be prepared to wait because it does take a while for the food. I don't like the ordering process. You have to stand in different lines if you want seafood versus regular tacos. It makes no sense why you can't add to your order. I am also upset that they do not disclose a credit card charge. I have come here numerous times and never really looked at the receipt. Today, I realized that they charge 50 cents to use a credit card. This seems like a scam, especially for people who have to make multiple transactions if they want another type of food. This should be posted and people should be aware that they are being charged. I also want to add that I used Apple Pay, not a credit card that I was charged for.
Had seen this place on IG and when we came down to SD decided to try it. It's inside a place with about 4 other small restaurants. We tried the asada quesadilla which was good with plenty of meat and guacamole. Also tried the asada and al pastor tacos. Both were good but the tortillas were a little hard around the edges. Overheated possibly. Anywho, May try it again when we're back in town.
