Contribute FeedbackCheese and Alfie's, a popular restaurant in Christchurch, received mixed reviews from diners who had booked reservations through OpenTable. Some customers were disappointed to find that the restaurant was closed on the night of their reservation, despite receiving a reminder email. Others reported issues such as limited menu options, slow service, and oversalted chips. However, many guests praised the excellent food quality, friendly staff, and overall good value for money. Despite some hiccups, Cheese and Alfie's seems to be a quirky and charming spot for a relaxed meal in Christchurch.
This restaurant is a fantastic hidden gem. We visited on a Tuesday evening for their 2-for-1 burger special and were blown away by the freshness, flavor, and size of the burgers. The service was excellent as well.
The food was delicious, and the service was exceptional. The waitstaff were very friendly and always had a smile on their faces.
Great, casual, quirky eating and caffe with good eating in very generous portions.
Booked for special occasions....did does not have two food items on the menu, and was not said this at the time of picking up menu....ordered food code was overlooked, and they brought the starter exactly the same time as the main....the oil they used to cook, melt as if it needed to change again, as much as I had to change back to the hotel and change as they used my oil.
The food at this restaurant was fantastic, with the exception of some slightly burnt crumbs. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were extremely friendly. In my opinion, it is the best place to eat in Christchurch.
