El Bodegon - Chorrillos

My wife and I went to this restaurant based on the great reviews we saw in Trip Advisor. As an appetizer we order the papa rellena wish was spectacular. Then, my wife ordered the suprema de pollo con pesto and spaghetti in a white sauce and after my wife it was just okay, nothing special really. I ordered the Tacu-Tac with Seco, the Tacu-Tac was fine, but the Seco was by far the worst piece of meat I had ever tasted. The meat was so hard and tasteless and when I mentioned to my waitress, he said that he would let the chef know and he never offered me an alternative to changing my order or informed the manager about my court. Personally, I don't think I ever recommend this place.

I love this connection. Bodegon is not very large and has a beautiful designed bar as a focal point. but the food is really good, RICO. the menu is something different because it is in criollo style that goes back a few years. It's like a house cooked food. this concept of Gaston is a winner!!!

It was really upsetting that I asked over WhatsApp if they are open for inside dinning and get no reply leave you on seen with no reply. We go there and try to get a table and the girl that is supposed to answer comes with an attitude oh we get so much demand. A simple yes or no would have been nice but nothing. Of course no tables!

You will usually wait for 90 minutes for a table, unfortunately they don't accept reservations. However Gaston new rest is amazing, big portions and yummy desserts! BTW they won't charge you if you bring your wine!
