What annalom3 doesn't like about Spout House Farm Shop Tea Room:
I didn't visit the cafe, but I bought two small pieces of fillet steak from the farm shop for £11.37. I was expecting a burst of flavor when we tried it, but it turned out to be just average. I think Too Good farm shop in Wrightington sells tastier, hand-reared meat at a lower price. In my opinion, the meat here is overpriced. View all feedback.
My husband and I went for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is warm and cosy, and the prices were reasonable. The staff were lovely and friendly. The farm shop is well stocked. You won't be disappointed if you visit this lovely place.
Nice to receive good customer care. Farm shop is excellent and quite varied in selection of fresh produce including fruit and veg, cheese, bakery items, cakes, butchery. Cafe is good and you are not rushed. It would be nice if offered cream with the cake as an an additional option

My sister and I dropped in for drinks, as we had travelled to the area for a funeral and had time on our hands. I just had a couple of drinks but my sister ended up succumbing to a bacon cob which she thoroughly enjoyed and which almost tempted me off my life-long diet! We were served by a young man who was so pleasant and couldn’t do enough to help. Service really was excellent and he went out of his way to provide me with a perfect piping hot latte; he really is a credit to his employer. There’s a loo, too, although this is outside and not the best on a cold, wintry, windy day. Still, we were very grateful for it so there’s no complaints! The fresh produce looked very appealing, especially the meat and cheeses, and I’d definitely have bought some if we’d been going straight home. Prices looked reasonable and, as a family run business with meat reared on the farm, this is an all-round great example of what a proper farm shop and cafe should be like.
We received a warm welcome from the staff and enjoyed hearing about the farm's history. I tried a bagel with peanut butter and banana for the first time and found it delicious. The full breakfast was freshly cooked and satisfying, with piping hot tea and coffee. The staff made sure we were satisfied and offered more options, although we were too full to try the tempting cakes. Another reason to come back and visit again.
