I went for a walk in the Duxbury woods with my dog and stopped by this restaurant for a drink. I opted for the cake and coffee combo for £4 and it was excellent. I enjoyed a nice slice of carrot cake and a delicious latte while sitting outside on the terrace. The place was very clean and it was a lovely spot to relax in the sun.
We paid £26 each to play on a course that resembled a construction site. The greens were in terrible condition. We found out that we could have played at a private course nearby for only £1.50 more. We emailed the course to express our disappointment, and they responded by saying they would consider our feedback.
We visited today as it was on the eight out to help out website and expected the menu to be 50% off. This was not the case, instead there were 38 out to help out deals. One was a lukewarm toastie, Lukewarm coffee and a mini muffin at the Eat Out to Help Out price of £4.95. I wouldn’t expect to pay £10 for this normally. My dad had the other eat out to help out breakfast deal which was the same as the toastie deal except it had a bacon barn instead. Nothing to write home about. My daughtershad the pizza deal which was okay. There were crumbs and food under the table when we first arrived. These ‘deals’ seem to have been created for the eat out to help out scheme and are not good value. If you like coffee which is tepid and chicken toastier which are tepid then you will be fine. I just hope I am not ill later. Will never go here again!!!
This has to be the worst Course and putting greens in Lancashire and maybe the UK. Factual and true.
