We were taken there for Easter lunch, while visiting relatives, must say the staff are very friendly and the food was just perfect would advise anyone planning to visit please go and try the excellent food and choice of wine. Little worried about some of the reviews, but we thought we'd give him a chance. Two of us had fish and fries with chopped and triple peas and one had the ox cheek. We were all very happy with the quality of food, all washed with several Hobgoblin glasses. The dessert was also very good with some unusual combinations. I'm glad I can put this place back on our list. View all feedback.

read moreDespite some mixed reviews, our experience at this restaurant was surprisingly positive. We enjoyed dishes such as fish and fries, ox cheek, and desserts with unusual combinations. The menu was limited, and the lack of real beer was disappointing for some. Small portions and greasy dishes were issues for some diners. However, the staff were friendly, and the food was perfect for others. The service had improved with a new manager, and the steak was greatly improved. Overall, the restaurant seems to be on an upward trajectory and is definitely worth a visit.
