This was our first visit to Connell's since the new owners took over, and we were extremely disappointed. The salad bar was quite lackluster. Instead of warm bread, we were served cracker sticks. Our food arrived cold, and my steak was of very poor quality. Although the owner did give us a discount on the bill, it was still pricey. We left feeling hungry and don’t plan to return. An old fashioned supper club! Which is a slowly dying scene in Wisconsin. Food is good but not phenomenal in my opinion. I give it four stars for the good vibes and service. Try their grasshopper ice cream treat. The best I ever had!
Service was good, old fashions average. We had prime rib and it was exceedingly fatty and tough and also Luke warm at best,salad bar below average. Overall I'd save your money and taste buds for another place.
This is a genuine Wisconsin supper club experience. You can even get a pink squirrel or a grasshopper for dessert! We went for the prime rib night and were somewhat disappointed in that it was not anywhere close to medium rare and was quite salty. The waitress was excellent and informed us that they were experimenting with different brining of the prime rib and she will make a note of our observation. I will go again, next time I visit my sister in Northern Wisconsin.
An unbelievable Supper Club experience. An amazing atmosphere, very classic feel. Fantastic Customer Service. It was our first time dining at Connell's and our waitress made us feel welcomed and provided us great info on the menu. We started out with there extremely tasty onion rings. I enjoyed the Fish Fry which I highly recommend. I had the two piece fish with three shrimps both fried, bake potato, coleslaw and bread. It was out of this world. Full of excellent
You won't go away hungry! Great Wisconsin Supper Club experience! Bourbon old fashioned was perfection! Onion ring appetizer plentiful and delicious. Steak perfectly cooked, friee chicken moist and lyonnaise potatoes to die for!!! Service was friendly. We had a 730 dinner reservation, place was packed, but we were seated early and serviced quickly. No complaints, only compliments.
