What Aaron Bright doesn't like about Baked Dessert:
It’s funny how much a bad employee can influence your experience. We use to love coming to this store because the cupcakes are delicious and the employees friendly. Our last experience was not like this. Our employee had on a dirty apron, did not say hello and we clearly inconvenienced him by walking in the store and asking what flavor a few unlabeled cupcakes were.We still bought a couple because the kids were excite... I have to say, the cupcakes here are fantastic, but the customer service leaves much to be desired. I visited today and stood there for about 10 minutes without receiving any service or even a simple greeting. It felt like I was invisible. Ultimately, I decided to leave because I believe that if young people want to attract customers, they need to prioritize good customer service. I may not be that old, but their behavior certainly makes me feel more experienced. A simple acknowledgment, like “We’ll be with you shortly,” would have gone a long way. So to the younger generation, I urge you to step up your game!
One of the main reasons I frequent this restaurant is for their Filipino dessert, Halo-halo. However, there have been several occasions when I specifically went there for the Halo-halo, only to find out they didn't have it available. Just yesterday, I drove 15 miles to this location and arrived around 1 PM, only to be told they couldn't make it. They've given me various excuses, like running out of ice or ingredients. I can't help but wonder what kind of business would fail to stock ice or the necessary ingredients for their top item on the menu — it’s not difficult to obtain. It seems that the new management just doesn't care. If they can't keep it available, why not simply remove it from the menu? It’s quite frustrating.
During the conversation, John stated that he would initiate my refund when it was convenient for him. The situation didn't end there. When I called the following week to check on my refund, they had disconnected their phone line. UNBELIEVABLE! Please save yourself from the troubles caused by businesses like BAKED DESSERT BAR!
It's interesting how a single negative interaction can impact your overall experience. We used to really enjoy visiting this store because the cupcakes are fantastic and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was quite different. The employee who assisted us wore a dirty apron, didn't greet us, and seemed annoyed by our presence when we asked about the flavors of several unlabeled cupcakes. Despite this, we still purchased a couple because the kids were eager to try them. However, we’ve decided to skip this store on our next visit.
The cupcakes were delicious, but unfortunately, they did not have all the flavors listed on the website.
