Ropewalk Chincoteague

Very nice restaurant on the beach. Unfortunately, we could not enjoy the outdoor seats because of bad weather, but I could imagine that it is a nice area to relax. That had great live music while we enjoyed our dinner. Restaurant was quietly busy, so please call for a reservation.

Came here for lunch. Excellent food, good quality, fresh ingredients, food well presented and friendly staff. The sand area with the picnic tables near the water is excellent for its view and atmosphere. Would recommend and would eat here again 5 stars experience for me.

Cool restaurant with a sports bar, outdoor seating, and a sand filled area where you can eat. There's always a bunch of seagulls that are flying around near the hotel next door, or swimming in the water near the restaurant. The staff was friendly, and the food came out fast, about 15 minutes to get the food. When I ate there, around 4 or 5 this Easter they had three good musicians playing the guitar, electric and acoustic. Good food, but mildly expensive, we spent About $20 per person on just food, excluding tips and drinks. I purchased the gipper burger, with American cheese and bacon, $20 and a root beer- with waffle fries. Another thing we purchased were the pulled pork tacos 17? , with potato chips. And the snow crabs, which were delicious, but a bit hard on the old bay. Dont remember the price, forgot to take pics.

We stopped by here to grab some drinks at the bar and got to listen to the bartender complain to his coworkers about how busy it was and how more bartenders were needed....may have been true but yikes, didn't make us feel very welcome. The outdoor dining area was neat and the nearby playground was also nice. We came back to try the food and it was delicious we opted to sit inside this time since a storm was coming in. We did sit for awhile after we finished waiting for our waiter to bring our check. All in all we would definitely come back.

Great spot to check out if you're visiting the Chincoteague area. I appreciate the adorable personal water pitcher they provide you along with your cocktail. We love bars that understand people also need to hydrate! (especially in the summer sun) The food was fresh and service was excellent. Great location right on the water.
