Was Cortez Weimann at Outermost Inn a mag?
This was my 2nd time and I loved it even more. I took the whole family along for my sister-in-law's birthday. We had the pizza that was out of this world, great crust. Gnocchi, ravioli ... everything is so fresh and delicious. John, the owner, is a real gentleman and knows how to take care of his customers and the server we had that evening. I never felt rushed and could just enjoy the atmosphere and the great food.... View all feedback.
What M S dislikes about Outermost Inn:
The diners were quite loud and rude. The lobster dumpling had no discernible lobster, and the peach dessert also lacked much peach flavor. The scallops were prepared decently. One table behind us was dropping the F-bomb repeatedly, and a young woman at a nearby table was shouting her part of the conversation, which we could hear from the parking lot. As for accommodations, the Inn is currently no longer accepting room reservations; only the restaurant is open at this time. The food and drinks are outstanding!

The food was merely mediocre and significantly overpriced for what we received. We were never offered coffee with our desserts, which was disappointing. When they ran out of the filet, we were given the option of Wagyu instead. One member of our party decided to take that option, but we were hit with a $10 upcharge that wasn’t mentioned in advance on what was supposed to be a prix fixe menu. We ended up paying $120 per person, and honestly, the meal and dessert did not justify that cost. Their website advertised a price of $115, but then they added an extra percentage for a "kitchen appreciation fee." We left feeling shocked by the total we had to pay. Instead of remembering the meal, all we could think about was how overcharged we felt. On a positive note, the location was lovely. If you view the cost of the meal as a ticket to enjoy a beautiful setting, you might find a way to rationalize it.
I’m a chef and I absolutely love trying new places anywhere I go. My wife and I came here on our honeymoon in late October and they were open for lunch. We spent time in Manhattan eating and Michelin star places as well as Boston and all over Martha’s Vineyard. This was straight up the best meal I’ve ever had. We went Thursday October 22, whoever was cooking that day is cooking perfect food. I was blown away and that doesn’t happen often, my wife went to the bathroom and I was staring at the leftover sauces and liquids at the bottom of our plates literally licking them up. I was blown away!
Nestled in a picturesque location, this restaurant promises a memorable dining experience, yet opinions are mixed. While the ambiance enchants with stunning views and a lovely setting, some diners find the atmosphere marred by disruptive patrons. Culinary offerings vary in quality, with highlights including exceptional seafood and inventive dishes, although certain items, like the lobster dumpling, fall short. The pricing has drawn criticism, as many feel the costs, exacerbated by hidden fees, do not align with the meal's quality. Ultimately, for those willing to overlook potential drawbacks, the breathtaking surroundings may still offer a worthwhile experience.

This understated, elegant, tasteful and perfectly cozy inn and restaurant are superlative for the ambiance, food and service.
For the most beautiful sunset eat dinner on the island Chef tasting menu is seasonal and had good local choices.
We had a great experience on the terrace. The food was delicious and the service was great. Would definitely go back!
