Miso soup was delicious. Nigiri sushi and rolls were good but not amazing. Tempura was quite dense and a bit too oily. Server was friendly enough but not super attentive we had to ask for side plates because none had been provided. The atmosphere felt very meh no Japanese inspired decor or music or anything really to make us feel like we were in a Japanese restaurant (other than the food, of course). Just a few thing... Glad we were not swayed by some of their negative reviews. The food was served very fast and was delicious! My son's water never went empty (eating very spicy food, lol). The server was polite, helpful and kind. We would deffinetly dine here again
Great food, and the staff was awesome about my food allergies including gluten free soy sauce. They even subbed the avocado for cucumber due to an allergy. The place was pretty empty when we got there, but was super busy for take out food! The waitress was really kind and helpful and the food tasted amazing! The restaurant itself is located inside a heritage hotel so it’s not obvious that it’s there. Definitely recommend!
They are over at the Royal Hotel now so restaurant photo location not accurate!! But been coming here since my 12th birthday as a kid loved it still love this place!!
Spinach Gomae was so disgustingly made. Was all whole sesame seeds and soaking wet spinach. Gross!
The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. We tried the chicken teriyaki with rice, the beef teriyaki lunch combo, and the soy and garlic boneless chicken. All of the food was hot, fresh, and delicious.
