The food here is excellent, and the staff is truly wonderful. I have fond memories of dining here as a child, and returning as an adult has allowed me to experience that same fantastic flavor while also evoking nostalgia. Their hot dogs are fantastic, and I really appreciate how they prepare them. One minor con—which isn’t really their fault—is that the area around the cafe can be wet at times due to swimmers not dry... View all feedback.

I enjoy visiting this place during my break; it’s just a short walk away, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Their popping bubble tea is also delicious!

I just saw the owner storm an ice cream truckHe was yelling and screaming about how he had a contract to sell in the area.

Recently, upon leaving the Chilliwack Leisure Centre, I purchased a $7 sandwich "to go" to eat when I arrived home (10 minutes later). The bread was not fresh, but dry and hard. It may have been suitable for toast, but as a "made fresh" sandwich, it was of an unacceptable quality.A week later, upon leaving the same leisure centre, I purchased two pre-wrapped chocolate muffins "to go" ($2 each) Again, I opened these within ten minutes from the purchase time and these muffins were dry and hard - downright dusty! In hindsight, I should have noticed in the showcase that these had neither a "prepared on" sticker nor a "best before" date stamp. Lesson learned: Always check for such labels on pre-wrapped food items BEFORE purchasing. As far as the soups and chilli are concerned, who knows how long these have been sitting in the pot? There is no way to gauge the freshness of these or, for that matter, the sandwich ingredients which are prepared at the time of ordering.Bottom Line: Pass by on your way out the door. There are plenty of other "take out" options within walking distance of this Java Hut at the Chilliwack Leisure Centre.
