Excellent place for breakfast. I ordered pancakes, sausages, eggs came with Shredded potatoes and toast. Service was very attentive. Food was great and served quickly. There was no rushing and I could’ve stayed there for two hours. However, I had another appointment to go to and couldn’t linger. Price was quite reasonable, $18 with bottomless coffee. We really wanted to like you Jimmy JS. It was out second visit. We were ignored for 15 minutes and it was not even busy. Maybe we are not regulars and we likely look to your servers as people who they can just ignore. I left with my daughter because I had to show her that we don’t stay in places we are not welcomed. Despite having enjoyed our meals there in the past, we had one of our worst experiences ever in a restaurant there this morning. The server got my order wrong, another server delivered our food and corrected the problem, but when we advised our server of the error, she just looked at us blankly as if she didn’t believe us and walked away. She then ignored us for the rest of the time while we ate, and then showed up at the table with an empty box for some extra food that was there as a result of the error, as well as the bill and the payment machine, as if we were going to immediately pay her. That behaviour was probably great and efficient if there hadn’t been an earlier problem, but there had been an earlier problem. I told her we hadn’t asked for the bill or the machine and weren’t ready to pay and she did the same blank look and walked away. When we looked at the bill, the ordering error had not been corrected and we had been overcharged. We flagged down a supervisor who we explained the issue to. This person sort of seemed to get it, but wasn’t exactly what I would call a high level empathetic manager or anything. She comped our meal, which is what should have happened. She did, however, say that our server was one of their best servers, to which I replied Not today. : I called the place back, looking for a GM or owner and was advised by a third person that the owner expects them to handle issues on their own. So I let this third person know how we felt about our experience there that day and yeah, we won’t be back. Too bad because the food is good and the prices are cheap. Whatever was up with that server, I think she needs a time out. :
