I recently went to the newly refurbished Waitrose Café with some friends to have coffee and cake. Unfortunately, we didn't see any cakes we wanted on display, so we grabbed a couple from the glass cabinet as we had done in the past. This restaurant is a great spot to meet up after shopping. The Pain au Raisin is excellent. The Americano is a bit on the large side for a 'regular' size, but it has a good flavor. Overall, a good place to stop for a meal.
This cafe has massively improved since its renovation. The coffee, once average, is now top-notch. I had a delicious baguette with cheese and ham that tasted freshly baked. The fillings were amazing. Forget about shopping and just stop by this cafe for a tasty meal. Highly recommend. - Hayling Seagoon

To make matters worse, we were then informed that we couldn't eat the cakes in the café, they were only for take away. I was disappointed by this experience and feel that either the café should offer a better selection of cakes or change their policy. As a result, I will not be returning to the café in the future.
This is a fantastic grocery store! As expected, the staff is friendly and the products are top-notch. In addition to everyday items, they have unique gems you won't find anywhere else, like unpasteurized butter. We will definitely be returning to this great place.
It was extremely cold inside, even more so than any other restaurant I have visited! However, they did have a wonderful selection of unique items that you likely wouldn't find anywhere else. They also had a good variety of vegetarian options as well.
