Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant has received mixed reviews from recent diners. Some have noted a decline in the quality of food, with underused vegetables and disappointing dishes. Others have praised the good food and service but were put off by time restrictions on their table and slow service. On the other hand, some customers had a great experience, with perfectly cooked meals, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere. Overall, opinions on the restaurant seem to vary based on individual experiences.
As brewery pubs go, this is a really nice, warm, cozy pub serving a good selection of ales and some nice home cooked food. It is just your standard pub
A favoured place of many years for the happy couple, as their proposal of marriage took place there over 25 years ago.
We recently dined with a group of 14 people and were disappointed by the lack of attention paid to the vegetables. The parsnips were overcooked and had a chewy texture, indicating a noticeable decline in the quality of food since our last visit.
The pub and food were lovely, but we were disappointed by the small portion sizes for the price we paid. Some of us ordered the specials and they were only warm rather than hot.
The food was delicious and nicely presented. Our waitress was very pleasant and our meals were served promptly. Sitting at a beautiful table by the window made our visit even more enjoyable.
