What Dan Lovell dislikes about Hallidays Of Funtington:
The food here is outstanding. However this is where the the positives end. We were greeted extremely bruskly, not with a hello but with name . Throughout the meal, you feel like you 're an inconvenience. There is little atmosphere, and could really do with some background music. If you can deal with the poor service and lack of atmosphere, the food is worth it, but we won 't be rushing back. Service: Dine in View all feedback.
Many thanks to an andy, julia and team! fantastic dinner with a tailor-made menu for private dinner! I love the pear chocolate tart!
Great night big service big eating big men big thanks to all beautiful 4-speed set private dinner for 11 of us!
Quality cooked food in a lovely family run restaurant, set in their house. We love it here.
This restaurant isn't very large, featuring a concise menu with four options for each of the three courses, all for a fixed price of a reasonable £41.50. The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was good as well. However, I felt it lacked atmosphere due to its plain decor; it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. We visited on a Thursday evening, so it might have a livelier vibe on Fridays or Saturdays. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: £50–60.
The restaurant had a slightly snug layout, but there was still enough space to enjoy the meal. For dinner, I found the service to be exceptional, earning a solid 5 out of 5, just like the food, which was outstanding. The atmosphere was decent, rating a 3, but overall it didn't detract from the experience. Additionally, there is a free parking lot, which is a nice bonus. Price per person was around £30–40.
