We were enjoying a long weekend in Chichester and were attracted by a splendid looking cake display in the window and the opportunity to sit in the attractive garden at the rear of the cafe. Today we had a really wonderful salad bowl and a filo cake from the cafe paradiso. really nice eating and very filling:
We had seen this cafe before and wanted to give it a try the pastries in the window look amazing! Now, to be fair, we didnt realise it was vegetarian. I had a 'stuffed potato skin ' which looked lovely piled high mash with what looked like cheese on the top. It was 'stuffed ' with .....potato ! That 's it, I couldn 't really taste anything else except a few chives. Husband had vegetable lasagne, which he said was pretty tasteless also. And a cup of tea for him, smallest cappuccino ive ever seen for me over £30 !!!
We were seduced by the yummy looking pastries in the window and went in for lunch. Hardly anything left despite being lunchtime, and bearing in mind it was due to be open for several more hours we thought this was surprising. What we had from what was available was okay, and we decided to get some of the aforementioned pastries to take home. Wish we hadn't bothered. So disappointing they were dry and tasteless.
Popped in here for a drink and cake, sat in the garden with our dog dogs aren’t allowed inside). Really nice cafe, friendly staff and lots of yummy veggie food/cakes to choose from. Would definitely come back here!
