Great service, very polite, professional and helpful staff. The food was delicious, we had a lovely family Sunday roast here, sitting outside enjoying in the sun, woth our dog too. Thank you to The Nags Head. View all feedback.
What Matthew B doesn't like about The Nag's Head:
We went for a meal. It was expensive for what it was but filling and fresh. Used to be a carvery during the day but not any more. I liked it, but honestly, I have had better. Cheesy chips were good, as were the sandwiches. I'd rate a 3+ if I could or 7 out of 10 View all feedback.

Good traditional pub with a nice looking food option (didn't try). Beer prices very steep compared to others locally 2 pints cost well over £12. Won't be back, but only because of the beer prices and there are other equally attractive options nearby.
Exceptionally clean pub with a good selection of beers and some good background music, can't comment on the food as we did not eat.

We spent one night here having spent two nights in a four star hotel and it would not be fair for me to compare the two. This was a stop off on the way back from a weekend away and was booked at the last minute. We paid 3* money and got exactly what we paid for. We did have a smallish room which was possibly the last one available. It was adequate for us and was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have an evening meal here but the breakfast was large enough with the usual choice of cereals, yoghurt and a good size fry up. My preference would have been not to have two eggs I would rather have had beans instead of an egg but I wouldn't mark the breakfast down on this aspect. I'm sure some people would prefer eggs to beans. It's a decent enough pub. We arrived on a Sunday early evening and it was clearly very popular with the carvery. I think the kitchen extractor fans started up quite early so if you're a light sleeper take some ear plugs just in case. Sometimes it is inevitable with any pub/hotel that there are going to be early morning noises from breakfast preparation, deliveries, traffic etc. Overall we had a decent enough one night stay and the location is brilliant for Chichester town centre.
