I had an amazing carne asada torta for lunch, paired with a delicious café con leche and chocolate.
The place was average, nothing too great about the food. We ordered the tacos and eggplant sandwich. The churros were warmand delicious, but with a lot of sugar. I wish they added cinnamon. The chocolate sauce with churros was perfect.
Really wanted to like it… I've heard of Chef Bayless before and have seen this place online as well as on a popular travel food show. Was really excited to try the Torta Ahogado, as I've heard numerous good things about it, but honestly it was like eating bland pork in a flavorless marinara sauce… Believe me, I had high hopes for this sandwich. I wanted to like it, I was very excited to order it… but maybe I just got it on a bad night idk I have no doubt that Chef Bayless is very talente … – show

Best Mexican food I’ve tried so far in Chicago. Hot chocolate was awesome. Everything was fresh. Try guacamole!
