However, recently I've noticed that the grits are undercooked and the portions are significantly smaller. It seems like they’re being spread out to create the illusion of a larger serving, which makes it look like someone was just playing around with it. I'm quite disappointed.

Now, onto the main course, which truly stole the show: the catfish. It was a massive fillet, incredibly fresh and flavorful, coated in a thin, yet wonderfully seasoned cornmeal breading that wasn’t greasy at all. Everything was prepared to perfection. The meal was accompanied by a generous serving of spaghetti, smothered in a rich sauce that clearly seemed like a secret family recipe. The restaurant was bustling with patrons, showcasing its popularity as a local favorite. The service was prompt, and the staff was extraordinarily friendly. Don’t forget to admire the beautiful burlwood counter! This may just become my go-to spot on the South Side—it's definitely worth a visit.

Today is Saturday, August 17, 2024. I wanted to share my thoughts on my meal. Unfortunately, the grits were quite gritty, which suggests they may not have been cooked for long enough. Additionally, my eggs with cheese should have been mixed in more thoroughly; it was disappointing to see the unmelted cheese on top. Lastly, the coffee was extremely strong. Thank you for running a nice restaurant—there's just a bit of work needed to improve the overall taste. Thank you, and have a great day!
