What User doesn't like about The Game Room:
This is the only restaurant/bar I have ever been to that simply does not want to serve customers. I took a group of 15 employees for our company’s 20th anniversary. The “bouncer” with the homemade respirator was wildly rude to us. When we asked to speak to the manager, she was even more rude. They both clearly enjoyed being difficult. Discriminators. If you choose to keep your medical records private (as every person should) they will refuse you entry. I was asked to show my ID and vaccination card. I informed them that I can only show my ID and I was refused entry and asked to leave. I encourage everyone to stop supporting these draconian businesses.
I just finished a 4 night stay with my teenage daughter and her friend. We stayed in a room with two double beds. The room was large enough for our needs and faced an interior lightwell/air shaft, so it was nice and quiet. This was such an interesting hotel with great historical features. I loved the woodwork especially in the lobby. The tile mosaic floors were beautiful too. The girls had fun in the game room one day when it was raining. The game room has shuffleboard, foosball, pool, etc. The hotel definitely has dim lighting, so if that's something that bothers you, just keep it in mind. The lighting gave the hotel a really cool atmosphere in the evenings, but was a little weird around breakfast time. It's pretty much dim 24/7 in the common areas of the hotel, but our room had plenty of overhead lighting and lamps. The location can't be beat. Right on Michigan Ave. across from Millennium Park. We were there for Lollapalooza and it was a quick walk right down the street. Every staff member I interacted with was helpful, friendly, and kind. I would definitely recommend and stay again!
This is a wonderful location across from Millenium Park. The hotel was lovely. Rooms were clean and cozy. The hotel staff went above and beyond. The concierge helped with event and dining plans. You must check out the view at Cindy's!
The Chicago Athletic Association is a stunning historic property in the heart of Chicago! I loved the originality of the hotel, that adorn updated décor and amenities. The king size bed was so very comfy.
Napped was so good, I was drooling and slumped. Tried to read here but was too inviting and simply could not stay awake. Nice view of the peasants walking on Michigan Ave. Decor is giving elitist, old money, tousled hair, philosophy discussions but is actually mostly ppl surfing the web and chilling.
