As residents of the building, we've found the Drunken Bean to be a fantastic spot for food and drinks at any time of day. The morning coffee is excellent, and we appreciate the resident discount they offer. The food has consistently been delicious, particularly the flatbreads, which we love. They also have a great happy hour. Overall, we really enjoy this place and plan to keep visiting regularly. View all feedback.
What Igor Bashlykov doesn't like about The Drunken Bean Coffee Wine:
Got coffee, rice cake and banana bread.Banana bread was dry and old, rice cake served in a plastic foil could be easily used to hammer nails. Poor service. Not recommended for anyone who looks for professional modern coffee experience. Sorry guys but it was really bad. There are definitely much better places in Chicago to enjoy coffee and desserts.Got refund for the dry banana bread and they still insisted they baked... View all feedback.

Worst Breakfast Ever… Order “Irish rolled oats” and “egg bites” to go. Irish oats were a joke ..container with dry oats and a few accoutrements for $8! If I wanted to make my own oats could’ve gone to store and got ingredients for $1! Eggs bites were uneatable …the eggs had not been beaten so chunks of egg whites ..and very soggy wet. I’ve live around corner but will never go back and advise you go Eggy’s if your in new east side if you want decent breakfast !
The Drunken Bean is a great neighborhood spot! I had the morning bagel and it was a lovely blend of flavors on a soft bagel. Everyone was so friendly, and they even let me bring my dog to order. Would recommend 10/10!
Crave-able, creative, coffee, creations that stand shoulder to shoulder with the big named competitors.Bluemoon Latte dazzles, as it dances in your cup. It's true blue.My 8oz. Strawberry Mocha Latte is Hot-Tay.The glass display case is filled with a long variety of sweet treats that appeal to more than just your keen visual senses......And thanks to the hostesses who provided me with a wealth of tasty options to select from.
Drunken Bean has a great selection of breakfast pastries and sandwiches, lunch items, and wines. It’s a convenient spot right under the Shoreham and near my building next door, but I hadn’t given it a try until a year or so after moving here. The coffee is decent but Colectivo cold brew is usually too acidic for my liking. I had a tasty sandwich paired with a terrific chicken tortilla soup. My only qualm is that it was a bit steep at $17 for lunch, but will definitely return regardless.
