While the atmosphere appears to be German, the menu seems to be an odd mix of dishes. Was expecting more authentic German cuisine. The dishes ordered were good albeit odd pairings. View all feedback.
Sour roast was perfect, hown carving not as expected, spaetzle not good. the service was bad, tried to push us around 8:45 clock. starts cleaning while still eating. empty restaurant at 9p and odd atmosphere. if full the restaurant can authentic ambiente. plus better service.

Number one establishment for lunch while holiday shopping.
The Berghoff is very good for what it provides...simple German style food in an historic Chicago location. Been enjoying the Berghoff all my life, and fully intend to come back again and again.
Ruben sandwich is delicious Perfect service, quick and sympathique Love the ambiance!
