Was Tia G at Taylormade Que a mag?
I had never been to this restaurant before, and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service and the generous portion sizes. I ordered the loaded baked potato, and it was indeed loaded—felt like it weighed about 3 pounds! I was able to share it and still felt full afterward. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu! I highly recommend this place! View all feedback.
What Marion A Moore dislikes about Taylormade Que:
Presentation matters. When it comes to food, an appealing appearance can greatly enhance the dining experience. A poorly plated dish can give the impression of a subpar meal, no matter how it tastes. View all feedback.
Don't recommend this business, No proper time to open system not working.Don't think I will be back
I used to eat here. For a very long time. And my favorite was the loaded baked potato. Now my favorite thing to eat here is the tacos. They are delicious the sauce is amazing. I recommend it if you’re a fan of good jerk tacos. This is a 10/10 for me and my family.
At first the cashier was a bit annoyed for whatever reason. But as I waited for my order, she began to smile and conversate on a more friendlier level.
I visited this restaurant last Friday, and my family really enjoyed the food, so it wasn't my first time there. The food is good, but the wait times can be quite long. I don’t mind waiting for hot, delicious food, but I do have an issue with the male staff member who took my order at the window. I ordered several items, including a loaded baked potato that my nephews love. On the digital menu, the loaded potato was clearly listed at $13. After I paid, I noticed that my receipt charged me $14 for the potato. I brought this to the attention of the staff member at the register. He insisted that the potato cost $13.99. I explained three times that the menu showed $13.00, not $13.99 and definitely not $14. He eventually went to check the digital menu for himself. I was right; it clearly stated $13.00. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, he changed the price on the menu right in front of me. I politely asked him, while appreciating the correction, what he would do about my receipt since I was charged incorrectly. He looked at me and said, "Well, it's not my fault that someone put the wrong price on the menu." I acknowledged that, but reminded him that I still wasn't charged the correct price. Then he asked, "So, ma'am, are you refusing to pay for your food?" I was baffled because I had already paid for it. I asked him, “What do you mean by refusing to pay? I’ve already paid! I’m just wondering if I’ll get an apology, a dollar back, or maybe a can of soda as compensation?” He returned to the counter and ignored me for the next 23 minutes while I waited for my food. I want to emphasize that a dollar doesn’t faze me, but being rude and dismissive does. This interaction was incredibly unprofessional, and it’s enough for me to decide that I won’t be returning. In the end, I didn’t really care about the extra dollar I was incorrectly charged; it was how I was treated by this young male staff member that bothered me. He may not have thought it was a big deal, but it was! I’m sure he wouldn’t appreciate being treated that way either. I guess he may be used to customers complaining loudly to get their point across, but that's not how I handle things. I refuse to let anyone take me to that level. While my absence may not hurt the business dramatically, if he continues to treat customers like I was treated, it will certainly have an impact. I can find good food, excellent customer service, and fair pricing anywhere along Halsted Street any day of the week.
I've been gradually trying out every BBQ spot on the Southside, and I have to say, this place is outstanding based on my first visit. The tips were plentiful, with quality pieces—no filler like I've encountered at other places. They had a generous amount of seasoning, which really enhanced the flavor! I ordered the barbecue sauce on the side so I could enjoy the smoked meats on their own, and they really stood out. The barbecue sauce was also exceptional. I absolutely loved the fries! I believe they are fresh-cut, and they were definitely some of the best I've had at any BBQ joint on the Southside so far. I will definitely be coming back!
