What John Doe doesn't like about Tapster:
This is a interesting concept, but I think your better off going to a normal bar. We came for a few drinks and the bar itself was nice they have games to board games to play as well as a few on the walls. The issue I had was the pricing, everything by the OZ. So a beer you might pay $5 or $6 for at a normal bar could be $7 $8 or more here and that adds up easily through the night. As someone that doesn't use a tap of... View all feedback.
Very pleasant staff, and an interesting concept. There's a nice quiet area in the back, or a more rowdy area at the front. It only provides plastic cups (which is understandable) so bare that in mind
Fun place to try a little of each drink. It's really easy to just stop in and out, as you've only got to check in once and then just place the card they give you in a pre-tip calculated bin.I wish perhaps there wasn't a 10$ minimum on cards, however I understand why it's there. Another nice feature would perhaps be to be able to pre-load a card or something, i.e. load it with 20$ minus an automatic 4$ tip or something, so that way I could just pay with cash when I walk in and still use a card.
Fun concept, but beware of an extra charge on your statement. I saw that there were two charges to my bank account--one was the right amount and the other was $20. I wasn 't sure what the latter was for, so I called Tapster three times to sort this out.Two of the times, I was told that this was an account hold charge, which should remove itself after a day or so. They told me to call back if it goes through, so that they can provide a refund. I waited almost a week, only to find out that the $20 went through. I called back for the third time, and this time, I was told that they can 't really do much about it. Something about Toast not allowing their management to refund the $20 from their end. From multiple conversations, it sounded like this was not the first time that this has happened. A shame that a fun experience was marred by the extra charge. Also, be aware that if you check out by dropping off your beer card on the depositories mounted on the wall, you only get three options for tip, with the least being 18%. I don 't mind tipping; but I do mind the establishment limiting my freedom to choose how much to tip. Just something to be aware of if you want to go here.
Place is pretty cool and has lots of options of different types of beers! Was very busy towards the end of the late would recommend to get here around 8pm to beat the crowd. Place gives you a card to use for drink machines just ask the bar!

As someone that doesn't use a tap often it can also be a little hard sometimes to get a good pour.
