We started with fried dumplings and papaya/mango salad and had the shaking beef (filet mignon), Saigon crepe, and cochinchin noodles as entrees. The beef is melt in your mouth savory, the crepe a joy of taste and texture wrapped in a lettuce leaf, and the noodles had the taste of homeade succulentness. All were excellent and I kept bouncing up and down with happiness in my seat with each bite! Simply Pasteur been in business for nearly 40 years: that should say enough right there. It 's a small place so it 's likely to take some time for service if they 're busy. I recommend chilling out and enjoying a fine meal in a leisurely manner. There are plenty of faster (and less high quality) places just down the street at Argyle if you 're in a hurry.

However, this guy showed up on a date or a meeting probably and asking THE WAITRESSES to tell us to BE QUITE AND SILENT. I mean... come on. Not that I am complaining about the waitresses, but please tell them that THIS IS A COMMON ROOM and if they wanted us to be quiet, just go to grave yard. PLEASE! AND THE WAITRESS at first did not apologized. We did not order our entree because we're just too fed up. Is this their restaurant?! Did they reserve this restaurant all for themselves?

We had a reservation for 15 There were only a few other tables totaling <10 people in a 120+ seating room Silverware wasn't on the table even after food took nearly AN HOUR to bring any dish out when I asked them to bring it out as it is made We had to ask for more silverware and they brought out 6, we had to ask again and they wanted to know how many instead of just bringing out enough They wanted to charge us for curry duck we DID NOT order They wanted to charge us for a replacement soda after we complained the original lacked carbination. I spoke with the manager via phone because the servers spent 15 minutes arguing with me about why they deserved a FORCED 20% gratuity for providing one of the worst dining experiences. You can tell the nasty attitude comes from the top down. No idea how this place has such high overall ratings when the most recent 16 reviews average only 2.8 stars (still too high in my opinion). This place was picked because of the ambiance and decent looking food. But the experience was and will likely be the worst I've ever had. Go somewhere else or end up with a plate of REGRET.
