The food was delicious! The chicken was incredibly tender and juicy. I ordered the 3-tender meal (Nashville style), and they even gave me a 4th tender for free! The portion of fries was massive as well. The place is a bit small, and I didn’t particularly enjoy dining in with all the foot traffic, but that’s just how it is. The mac and cheese was also excellent, providing a nice contrast to the spiciness of the chicke... View all feedback.
What Ash S doesn't like about Roost Chicken Biscuits:
I ordered the House Style Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was good, but I thought it could have been a bit spicier compared to other Nashville chains I've tried. It was also a bit oily, and I could taste the oil in some bites. As for the fries, they were your typical hand-cut fries, but I appreciated the generous portion size. View all feedback.
Their Carolina chicken sandwich is something special. It’s very unique. I don’t know what they put in it but I really enjoyed it. One of the best chicken sandwiches in Chicago.Food: 5/5
I’ve heard so many people rave about Roost and I was pretty disappointed.Food took 25 minutes to come out. I ordered kids tenders (I can’t finish the adult portion) and they were over cooked. Fries had a combo of soggy and crunchy but seasoned well. Mac n cheese and peach cobbler were yummy.Service was odd. We walked in and the people in the back were cussing up a storm, having a heated discussion. They kept it going as we ordered. The lady up front was on cruise control and came across as annoyed toward us.Atmosphere was average. Whatever you picture at a chicken joint is what you get there. Limited seating!
Kind of obvious by the size of the spot, but this is NOT a sit down place. Definitely try and take your food to go if you can.Otherwise, the food is great. In my opinion, it's just the right spice level if you get 1 level below the max.
Have been wanting to try this place for a while, so I placed a pickup order. Got the half bird meal because I wanted leftovers for tonight or tomorrow. Possibly breakfast, don't judge! Love the chicken...very crispy with a deep, rich flavor.Got a biscuit on the side, which was delicious. I had some hot honey at home and dipped it in there and it was very yummy.Wasn't impressed with the cucumber coleslaw though. Way too much vinegar that caused me to cough a few times. Would not order that again. The fries were delicious, but I think they are sweet potato? I wasn't aware of that when I ordered. Tasty and seasoned well, but not crispy.Side note: I wish Chicago restaurants would stop including a useless slice of white bread with meals. Such a waste.Overall, I recommend trying Roost! ?
The chicken and biscuit sandwich I had was amazing! Rhe fries are spiced perfectly, and the sweet tea was good. The price was a little high for what I got, but I would definitely go back. There are a few stools to sit at inside, but I would consider this location a take out place.Food: 4/5
