We had a great time on the River Crab on July 4th. The weather was spectacular and we decided to sit outside. It was perfect - the yellow umbrellas and the blue sky and water made a calm environment. Our waitress was attentive and met all of our needs. The food was excellent and we hated to go. We will definitely be back and I got the word out about this place. Watching the boats on the water is a huge plus. We hope... View all feedback.
What StephanieC doesn't like about Revival Social Club:
Food somewhat above average. We went for dinner and I was expecting a more exciting menu. My husband ordered the salmon on a cauliflower and quinoa bed. He said the fish was wonderfully tasty and well cooked. My son snd I ordered burgers medium. They came out rare. Soggy fries. The lettuce in my side salad was warm and wilted. The monkey bread dessert was outstanding. View all feedback.
This restaurant is closed. we booked a table for her last night. it was a total show; loud about believe and sloouow. I wish we had gone out.
They close on Saturday and it could not be more obvious.
A note: if they change their menu, make sure they change it anywhere. we came here because the menu was appealing to opentable. when we sat down, it was completely changed. the food was decent, but we felt that the value was not there
What a great dinner! I cannot believe how wonderful and eclectic the new menu is! such unique taste combinations to give revival a lasting impression to stand among all other typical Chicago menus.
When I asked if/when the cheese curds had been removed from the menu, my waiter scoffed at me and said they had not been on the menu in over a year. I expressed to him I had eaten here at least 3 times in the last year, having cheese curds each time. Again, with attitude, he immediately rebutted well, I have worked here for 3 years.. After taking my order, he clearly told someone in the kitchen about our exchange , and then returned not with an apology, but to inform me that the curds actually HAD been on the menu, but were seasonal. The food was fine, but that encounter was what left the proverbial bad-taste in my mouth.
