Was Michelle I at Polygon Cafe a mag?

I found this little gem on Clark Street to be a cozy, quiet spot, perfect for enjoying some delicious sushi and a lovely glass of wine. If you're in the mood for a bit more light, the window seating offers a nice view of people passing by, but keep in mind that it's a very relaxed atmosphere, so patience is key. What Jessica M dislikes about Polygon Cafe:

I tend to like this place, and they have good lunch specials. However, it is not a good choice if you are on a work break, especially between noon and 1pm. Today I spent 40 minutes in the restaurant I ordered one of their protein and rice meal options it took so long for the food to be prepared that I had to ask to pay before it was ready, cancel my green tea order which had not arrived after 30 minutes, and ask them... We ordered three entrees and an appetizer, and aside from the rice (which came with an extra charge), nothing was redeemable. The cashew chicken contained tough chunks of dried chicken in a bland, red jelly-like substance. The Pad Se Ewe featured slippery, unappetizing noodles swimming in a gooey sauce. The broccoli and tofu dish was overwhelmingly off-putting. What made the experience even worse was my conversation with the manager when I attempted to return the uneaten food today. After explaining that I had spent $60 on an unpalatable meal, I suggested he try the food himself. Instead, he reprimanded me for not calling him the night before to voice my complaint and dismissed my disappointment since we didn't eat right away (due to working late). It seems that Polygon's food is only enjoyable if consumed within an hour of delivery and is not suitable as leftovers. The manager offered me a 20% discount on my next order, which I declined. There won't be a next order from me.

I used to be a genuine lover of Polygon Cafe but lately their food has been so mediocre and is no longer worth the price. This is the 3rd time that I’ve ordered the Beef Pad Se Ew and the noodles were overcooked, mushy and bland It literally had no seasoning. I also tried their Shrimp Thai Fried rice and it was just rice fried with a bunch of onions, a few pieces of tomato and shrimp that tasted like it was boiled or came precooked in the bag. Again, no flavor at all. The only thing we ordered that still tasted okay was the Tom Yum soup. I’m not sure what changed but the food sucks now. On another note, we ordered 2 dishes and the soup and no utensils (we requested) or soy sauce was provided for $45 order. Save your money and try somewhere else, it’s not worth it.

Was disappointed after all of the positive reviews. To start with the positive of our meal though, the crab rangoon were delicious. I'm guessing it may be the best for those who dine here to stick to the Thai side of the menu. I had a hankering for sushi, and ordered a couple rolls. The yellowtail in the roll I had was so fishy and not fresh that I actually gagged after eating one (got through the first two because I paid for it but finally had to stop) and lost my appetite. This is coming from someone who has a near iron stomach. The futomaki was alright because it had no raw fish, but overall the other roll we had (with crab and salmon) was also fishy and very average. Maybe I'll come back for Thai (as I said, the crab rangoon was VERY good), but unfortunately tonight I'm left with a stomach ache and no appetite.

After spending time drinking glogg at Simon 's Tavern, we were starving and someone suggested Polygon. After walking out of Simon 's, I was prepared for at least a five minute walk, but then our guide opened the second door we came across. We walked in a little after seven on a Saturday night and were able to immediately secure a table for five.It took a little bit to get our first orders in and water to the table, but far from disruptive. We were only three when we put in our appetizer orders, but became five as they were delivered. Once fully assembled, we ordered drinks and main courses. I highly recommend the bottle of Poochi Poochi sake. It 's a great size and price to share with those you 're with.I was with my sister, her partner, a friend I had met a couple months prior and their new roommate they met through Facebook Marketplace. The meal was delicious and the conversation and connection were even better. It was only natural that we went back to the apartment and played Drawful, where the games slogan was repeated multiple times, I 'm sorry, what?

I visited on a date, and the seating arrangement was ideal for that, but there's also a section at the front suitable for family or friend gatherings. The customer service was excellent—friendly and straightforward. Definitely worth a visit!

I really enjoyed their Spicy Udon (see picture below). I've also had their Sushi, which is delicious, though it can be a bit expensive if you opt for the special platters. Everything I've tried has been good. The service is average, but I have no complaints overall.

The sushi I had was great, and the interior was aesthetically pleasing. I would go back, and definitely would recommend if someone was going on their first date.

This neighborhood Thai and Japanese restaurant is becoming quite popular. As a vegetarian, I can't speak to the Japanese offerings, but the Thai menu features all the classics. Tofu is used as a substitute in most dishes, and be careful when asking for spicy— they tend to go overboard on the heat. If you do decide to order spicy, take it easy. The Green Curry is definitely the highlight of the menu.

The food was outstanding! There are some truly unique maki rolls on the menu, and the Pad Thai was impressive as well. I'll definitely be returning!
