**Restaurant Review: A Mixed Experience at Macello's** Macello's stands out with its inviting atmosphere, attentive service, and a diverse menu that appeals to many palates. Recent visits reveal a mixture of delightful culinary experiences, particularly with seafood offerings like mussels and calamari. However, some dishes, such as the chicken Caesar salad and orecchiette pasta, have disappointed diners due to lackluster flavors and presentation. While the pleasant ambiance and expert staff create a memorable dining atmosphere, occasional noise from the nearby 'L' and some pacing issues with service can detract from the overall experience. Despite these flaws, Macello's remains a desirable spot for special occasions, ensuring a worthwhile visit.
We had a group of 8 (2 of which joined last minute which they were able to accommodate for! Food was great but the pacing of the courses was a little off. A pizza came out early before any of the food, but our server realized that was a mistake and her/a manager comp’ed it because it was cold by the time the rest of our party’s food came out. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu/wines and gave great recommendations (particularly for a bottle of wine for the table !
