**Culinary Delights at Hackney's: A Mixed Bag of Comfort Food**
Hackney's, a beloved restaurant, showcases its renowned hamburgers but receives mixed feedback. While some diners found the burgers underwhelming and not living up to the hype, others appreciated their size and variety of toppings. A highlight for many were the fried cheese curds, described as delicious and a must-try. The establishment also boasts an impressive beer selection at great prices. Despite a few culinary disappointments, the atmosphere and exceptional service—especially during busy times like New Year's Eve—leave a lasting impression, making it a spot worth revisiting for its charm and nostalgic value.

Despite New Year's Eve being a busy time for any restaurant, they not only were able to take our reservation a few days ahead of time, they were able to seat us a little earlier and they were able to give us a more secluded, romantic table as I had requested! What BIGSSider dislikes about Hackney's Printers Row:
The restaurant promotes its hamburger, but I found it to be just mediocre—nothing special. However, the fried cheese curds were definitely the highlight of the meal. The hamburger, unfortunately, didn't meet my expectations; it was supposed to have a cheesy bacon filling, but I could hardly taste it. View all feedback.

Great variety of entre selections. Fish tacos were yummy, grown up Mac and cheese was also good.. However a little bland. Awesome beer choices! Perfect spot for a quick pint and lunch.

Thank you for being part of what turned out to be a wonderful New Year's celebration for my girlfriend and myself!

The restaurant promotes its hamburger, but I found it to be just mediocre, not particularly noteworthy. The highlight of the meal was definitely the fried cheese curds—they were delicious! However, the hamburger itself was underwhelming. It was supposed to have fresh toppings and a bacon filling, but I could barely taste either.
My first visit to a Hackney's was 50 years ago at the restaurant in the northern suburbs. Over the past few years, I've had lunch at various Hackney's locations occasionally, and each experience has been delightful. The nostalgia certainly enhances the enjoyment.
Although New Year's Eve is typically a hectic time for restaurants, they exceeded our expectations. Not only were they able to accommodate our reservation just a few days in advance, but they also seated us a bit earlier than planned and provided a secluded, romantic table as I had hoped! I already knew that dining at Hackney's was excellent and offered great value, but the level of service we received was truly outstanding! Many thanks to the staff for being part of what turned out to be a delightful New Year's celebration for my friend and me!
