Reviews - Googoo's Table
Reviews summary
Gogoo's neighborhood eatery, once praised for juicy BBQ pork and Pad Thai, now divides diners. Meals swing from flavorful to bland or overly salty; sauces can be greasy, noodles mushy, and proteins small or overcooked. Presentation and portions feel inconsistent, and many say prices don't match quality. Loyal customers hope for a return to former standards, but cautious diners should expect a gamble with each order.

I am a loyal customer as of today I will not come here again heres why. They are cutting down on quantity of how much meats they serve as another review here says.I bought the family size combination fried rice for about 19.00 more or less. it had more rice then any meats like beef, chicken and I didnt really see no egg or veggies. I felt that I was just eating plain rice with soy sauce. To make sure I turned the rice over and around to see if it was at the bottom but no. They skipped on qua … – show
This place is either amazing or awful. Everytime I order from here it's a gamble. After tonight I can't give this place anymore chances. My order was 30 plus bucks and not one thing we ordered had any taste. Its was so bland that if I didn't know any better I'd think I had covid (which I don't). The bottom line is this place has no consistency. Your favorite meal can taste great one day and horrible on your next visit and it's been this way for way too long. Unfortunately I won't be revisiting … – show
I did the 20 minute walk to the location (less than a mile) to get my food…I was not happy waiting another 10 minutes for my food to be prepared. Once the food was prepared, I walked back home the additional 20 minutes but when I tell you that it was worth it! It was WORTH IT! I had the Shrimp Egg Foo Young Lunch meal that comes with an egg roll (yummy). The egg foo young had nice size shrimp. I requested shrimp fried rice and it also had the same sizable shrimp! The taste was exactly what I loo … – show
I really enjoy visiting this restaurant. It has a pleasant atmosphere, and the food is fantastic. It's typically not very crowded, so it's not noisy, and the service is prompt.
Disgusting!! First time trying never again rice had no flavor egg rolls were nasty and i payed 24 dollars not worth it a total waste of money the only reason i tried something new was because my original chinese place was not answering the phone. Tasty china is number #1 on north ave and kedzie beats most of these chinese restaurants around the area

I love this place. I get the Hunan chicken. It's somewhat healthy not fried with vegetables. This is a really good Chinese Restaurant for the area.
I love this place but man the wait is horrible i had to wait almost 15 min for my smoothie and order of egg rolls
The staff are all very friendly and courteous. The food is made fresh and of the several dishes I have tried I have not had any that were bad. The smoothies are some of the best in the area! My favorite is the Strawberry Mango smoothie with tapioca.
I've eaten at numerous Chinese places, however this has gotten to be the best! The orange chicken was delicious crispy the sauce was amazing, the rice was not swimming in grease like most places, the fried rice was fresh, the crab Rangoon was creamy and crispy. The spring roll was very good! The food was so good I didn't even stop to take a picture.

Lots of options. Tried several things on the menu and everything has been good. The owner is very attentive and friendly.
We used to love their BBQ Pork Appetizer, which had perfectly juicy slices of pork that weren’t overpowered by sauce. It struck the ideal balance, allowing the meat to shine. Unfortunately, on our most recent visit, it resembled a pile of leftovers, with greasy, fatty pieces smothered in oily BBQ sauce and served on a soggy bed of lettuce. After sifting through what felt like 30% fat, we had to give up on it. We recognize that restaurants can have off days, but our recent experiences have consistently featured meals that are over-seasoned, messy, and lacking the quality we once enjoyed. We’ve sampled various appetizers and entrees, including their once-popular Pad Thai, which now has mushy noodles. The shrimp spring rolls, which used to boast 3-4 large, plump shrimp, often contain just 2 tiny ones these days. Moreover, the soups have become overly salty and include overcooked proteins that are tough and chewy. Overall, it’s been quite disappointing. We genuinely want this restaurant to thrive and hope they take this feedback to heart and return to their previous standard. Unfortunately, we’ll need to take a break from dining here before considering a return. We believe in you, Googoo—step it up, and your loyal customers will come back!
We chose to try the sweet and sour chicken from their lunch specials, which had plenty of options available. The chicken was tasty, and the rice paired nicely with it. The egg roll, while not the best I've encountered, was decent for under $7, so I can't really complain. Overall, I believe you'll be pleased if you give this place a chance. Enjoy!
I visited in the late afternoon and sampled the lunch boxes. I ordered the chicken pad Thai and fried rice with pepper steak, both of which were served with a spring roll and chai iced tea. The restaurant was exceptionally clean, and the food was delightful. I highly recommend it!
