It's obvious the folks that put this place together were serious and committed to their vision. But, it seems with the stupidity of the last couple of years they too are struggling with getting back on track...at least I hope that's the issue. The bar looks impressive and there's a live music setup that speaks to a decent music bar vibe. But we're a couple of years past frequenting clubs. So I'll leave those opinions to folks that know. We were there for lunch.Overpriced and under executed is about the kindest way to describe our first visit. Only 2 tables were seated the whole time we were there so service wasn't an issue. Having to send my drink back due to a strange, unpleasant, taste was strike one. $12 tacos of briny, chewy steak sans any form of sauce seemed kind of underwhelming, and my wife's sandwich that came on a slightly stale bun, rendering into a crumbly mess that was more suited to a spoon than fingers...Well, that was enough.I really wanted to like this place. And I'm extremely aware that the hospitality industry has been beaten severely of late. Traveling as I do, I see the struggles being faced by labor shortages, supply issues and patrons slowly emerging from their own kitchens. It's gotta be rough.I suggest making it a point to visit the bar and music events. Everyone says they're great. Give the kitchen time to get back on track.
I drive by here all the time and it always seems really popular so I took a chance. I ordered a Bavarian pretzel, a side of mac and cheese and some apple pie eggrolls. The cheese sauce tasted like some kind of roux with no cheese flavor, no flavor actually. The pretzel was hard and the apples in the egg roll were bland and dry, with no caramel sauce as advertised, and my ice cream was melted because the bag it was it was sitting out on the table when I arrived instead of being refrigerated. :
I noticed the Mt.Greenwood location had set up a bunch of outdoor dining. We were going to go yesterday, then noticed all these people with dogs at all the tables. YUK !!! Eating food next to barking dogs licking their junk is disgusting. Leave you dog at home. If they change their pet policy, we will go.
Food was on point, drinks were amazing, the staff was so friendly and accommodating. I went here to see bottoms up play but would definitely go back in a heart beat.
