What User doesn't like about Ella’s Bbq:
During a recent trip to Chicago for work, I was craving some good BBQ and decided to stop by Ella. The location itself was stunning, both inside and out. I ordered the ribs and brisket combo, along with mac and cheese and a baked bean side. The brisket was incredibly tender, and while the ribs were good, the sides were just average. The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely consider r... View all feedback.
The brisket was perfectly smoked and cooked to perfection. They create their own BBQ sauces and offer a selection of unique fountain drinks. The restaurant was clean, and the seating area was very comfortable.
My partner and I visited this restaurant for lunch while in Chicago, and it was absolutely amazing! Our server was incredibly sweet and kind. She was attentive to our needs and very patient as we placed our orders. My partner had the pulled pork sandwich (if I remember correctly), and I had the avocado chicken BLT, along with drinks for both of us. The food was so delicious! My partner ordered a milkshake that tasted like heaven, and I had lemonade, which was one of the best I've ever had! This place is definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!
This was my best dining experience in Chicago so far. We sat outside at one of the tables, and Brittany was exceptionally friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredibly delicious, affordable, and served in generous portions. I can’t wait to return!
The food here is fantastic! No matter which BBQ dish I choose, it's always so tender that it just falls off the bone. Even the salads are delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I know!
I recently tried their brisket, and it did not disappoint—juicy and tender just as I like it. I also appreciate their self-serve sauce station; both the Chicago hot and original sweet BBQ sauces are excellent. However, I took off one star because I found it a bit pricey. For one pound of brisket, one side, and a soda, the total came to $50 after tax and tip, which feels steep for a small restaurant. While I understand that Lincoln Park is an expensive neighborhood, your location right across from the high school might lead you to think it’s more student-friendly, but unfortunately, it’s not.
