Ella’s Bbq
Description
Nestled in Chicago, Ella offers a vibrant atmosphere and friendly service, making it a worthwhile pit stop for BBQ enthusiasts. Diners rave about the tender brisket and flavorful sides like cornbread, though some dishes, including pulled pork, have drawn less favorable comparisons. Guests appreciate the generous portions and reasonable prices but have noted inconsistencies in food freshness and execution. While the outdoor seating enhances the charm, suggestions for optimizing the interior layout abound. Overall, Ella presents a comforting dining experience, highlighting its potential amidst a competitive BBQ scene. Return visits may depend on specific menu choices.

I have been searching for good bbq since I moved to Chicago in 2019. Coming from Memphis it is hard to beat. Ella's is so close! Love the brisket and it travels well with door dash. One thing tho... max and cheese need a little work . Otherwise, good food!
The best culinary experience still in chicago. sat outside one of the tables and bretagne was the most friendly and attentive, constantly before and after to ensure that we had everything we needed. eating was incredibly delicious, affordable, with large portions. can't wait to go back.
During a recent trip to Chicago for work, I was craving some good BBQ and decided to stop by Ella. The location itself was stunning, both inside and out. I ordered the ribs and brisket combo, along with mac and cheese and a baked bean side. The brisket was incredibly tender, and while the ribs were good, the sides were just average. The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely consider returning when I'm back in Chicago.
I ordered the rib tips and I don't know what kind of meat it was. It just tasted like ham. The gristle was very large and strange looking. They were very small chunks and nasty. Food: 1 Service: Takeaway Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
Yikes. I should’ve heeded the warnings from other bad reviews. This food tastes like someone is cooking BBQ against their will. But I ate it because I’m no quitter and didn’t want to waste money. You live and you learn. Order from somewhere else! Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 1 Recommended dishes: Baked Beans
