Dunkin' - Chicago
Dunkin'
Description
In the bustling world of local dining, one restaurant stands out for both its potential and its pitfalls. While some patrons rave about the coffee options – particularly the choice between oat and almond milk – others have experienced a series of unfortunate service mishaps. Complaints about unprepared orders and unprofessional staff interactions abound, with some claiming rude service from specific crew members. Additionally, there are concerns over pricing discrepancies and the quality of pastries, with many suggesting fresh alternatives. However, a few have found joy with personalized guidance from staff during quieter times, highlighting an inconsistent yet varied experience.

My three scoops in a cup was Strawberry, butter pecan, black walnut ice cream was fresh and the service was quick for a walk-in during morning rush hour.
Tensions increased a bit, but I firmly told her that she absolutely could provide the donut, as many Dunkin' Donuts locations do for Veterans Day. Eventually, I chose not to prolong the argument and left the store instead of holding up the line behind me. It was disappointing to see the manager act this way. This behavior is completely unacceptable. Veterans Day is a once-a-year event, and no matter one's personal opinions on the military and its members, the manager should fulfill a veteran's request for a donut on this special day. There shouldn't be any debate about this. If someone isn't willing to do their job, there are plenty of others who would be happy to take on that responsibility. I’m giving this experience a rating of 1 on a 1-5 scale, but honestly, it deserves a negative 1,000.
WARNING!!! There’s a thief in this establishment!!! Last night around 8:00 PM, a friend and I decided to stop for a small cup of coffee. (I’m not a regular Dunkin' customer, so I’m not familiar with their pricing.) My friend ordered two small black coffees in Spanish, and I gave him $5 to cover it. However, an older Indian man (possibly the owner) handed us the coffees and told us the total was around $6.70. I was taken aback—how could two small regular coffees cost that much? When I asked him how much a small coffee was, he said it was $3.51! That seemed outrageous, and I told him he was overcharging customers. He shrugged it off and then offered us a free donut in a bag, which turned out to be an old, cold donut that we hadn’t even ordered! We were in a hurry and left, but this morning I checked their prices online and saw that a small coffee is only about $1.80. These greedy people are just trying to take advantage of customers!!!
The coffee is excellent and served at just the right temperature. I really appreciate that they don’t water it down with diluted milk.
