Despite a promising start at Dixie, some recent diners have been left dismayed by their experiences. One customer arrived to find the restaurant had unexpectedly closed, despite having a reservation, while another was disappointed by the decline in food quality and service on a return visit. Others were put off by the high prices, miscommunications about wine, and overly spicy dishes. However, there were still positive reviews that praised the flavorful food, excellent service, and lively atmosphere. What Jennifer O'Keefe dislikes about Dixie:
the room is nice and server friendly, but dixie missed the brand in a few areas. the menu was limited, which is good, but for divided plates the portions were too small. we understand what are tapas, but they were barely enough to share. either the part should only be for one person or the sizes should apply so that they can be shared more easily. I was very disappointed that the restaurant had closed 5 days before my reservation, and still open table sent me a confirmation 2 days after the conclusion. I had made the plan to surprise my man and we were standing in front of an empty restaurant. I expect an announcement in this case.
Second visit in dixie, very disappointed. our first visit was excellent. at our second visit was the service dirty, the dishes simply sprinkled on the table, the eating too salty, and our drinks were very light. I'm not sorry to see the decline at dixie
Large meal dining room on the fine food of the south in a charming, elegant and welcoming room, but it was very loud
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. I was deceived about the entire evening and my Open Table reservation was not honored. The staff claimed they did not have an iPad to check reservations. This restaurant should be removed from Open Table. I have never experienced anything like this before and will never be returning. I would advise avoiding this restaurant at all costs.
