This brewery has an incredible concept! As many reviewers have noted, you can pick any beer you like and decide how much to pour. They also have a BBQ restaurant, a gift shop, and, of course, you can take beer home with you. The patio is lovely, and they even offer board games! I’ve found my new favorite brewery in the city. What Trishika Reddy doesn't like about District Brew Yards:
This is a great spot for beer enthusiasts! They offer a wide selection of beers on tap, allowing you to sample various types, although it can be a bit on the expensive side. The Nashville Hot Chicken tenders were fantastic, and my personal favorite was the Belgian wheat beer. View all feedback.
Super friendly staff at this awesome, self serve choose your adventure , multi brewery tap room. You link a tap card to your credit card, and Set (it above the beer of your choice’s tap), Tilt (your cup) and Pour (as much or as little) of your selected brew. There is something for everyone: from a hard ginger beer, a mead, pilsners, cream ales, IPAs, imperial stouts, goses, lagers… LillieQ’s provides the food and I’ll say that the tri-tip is one of the best portions of meat done any way, anywhere that I’ve ever had. Very large space with ample seating of various styles and arrangements so even though there was a mass of people, it didn’t feel crowded. All the people and the loud tunes might preclude intimate convo but that’s probably not an issue at times where a mural festival is not going on. Games available to play. Dog friendly. Available for private events. Merch shop with many of the beers available to take home. Could use a few more restrooms. Can not WAIT to go back. Faves sampled this time: ATB Vera (pistachio cream ale), and I think it was from Burnt City, a killer rye, ATB Strawberry Pie a la mode Pastry sour (sour ale). A couple killer barrel aged Imperial stouts, particularly one from CasaHumilde). Parking was easy on the nearby streets.
We have been here a couple of times. It's a really good place to have a couple of beers and play some dominoes. We had chicken tenders. These are so good. They are moist and not dry. Mac and cheese is good also. It has a good selection of beers. It's a nice experience.
This is a fun place to hang out and sample up to 40 different types of beers at your leisure. The fun way to spend an afternoon and enjoy multiple different types of beers, insiders and sours.
It’s always nice finding something fun to do in Chicago. District Brew Yards provides an amazing experience for beer lovers. From the moment you check in, you are greeted with a smile(which to me matters). You get to try different kinds of pours at your own pace, enjoy some delicious food(self-check out), great outdoor and indoor seating and overall great atmosphere. Whether with friends or alone, this place caters to everyone. This would be a perfect place to bring out of town friends who want a different environment from the downtown area. Parking is mostly free around the brewery but I think they do have a parking lot behind their building. Highly recommend.
This placed has changed. Used to love it.Closes at 9:00pm, yet we were Kicked out at 8:30pm. Literally told to leave and told we have 5 minutes. We already closed our tab (card), by force as they came around and collected it, and were simply finishing our beers. Not sure why the employees felt compelled to kick everyone out. Also, they now serve you exclusively via plastic cup. I am paying $0.80/oz for beer, and you are going to serve me in plastic cups? Not to mention the environmental cost, that is just absolutely disgraceful service. This establishment, it’s service, and prices are completely out of whack with anywhere in the city of Chicago.Great chicken.
