This was our second time to dine at Davanti Enoteca in Chicago. Both times the food has been excellent! We enjoyed the tomatoe and mozzerella salad with pesto, the meatballs, and the polenta with ragu. We enjoyed it all but the last item was absolutely fabulous. We will definitely be back. I was so disappointed in our experience. First the server sent the mains while we were still on our apps. Then the mains come out, and the fresh pasta that was promised was fresh all right... fresh out of a box! And when I asked him about it, he lied right to my face and told me it was fresh. I like the ambiente. it's alive. we went with friends and it was good. eating was above average, but the presentation was great. friendly staff.
The breakfast was ok. beautiful omelette and kartoffeln. also had lunch here and the meatball sandwich really enjoyed. the meatballs were tender and well seasoned with the right amount of sauce and cheese. good sandwich to share. it is large.br <
The service was immaculate and the wrong eating was always delivered to our table. Unfortunately, the food I ordered was never made to my table. my edifice had finished their meal before a new dish was made for me. extremely annoying, but they have compiled my escape. That was the right thing, but I don't want to go back. the taylor street location is much better.
This place was such a pleasant surprise! the restaurant was connected to our hotel courtyard marriot and the menu immediately caught me in the eye! we had a maid night with my mom, sister and 2 year old daughter. the personal has made us feel at home as soon as we have set ourselves. we loved the oven pizza, the butter squash ravioli and the wine list! we have shared big laughs, funny photos and will definitely come back.
I am regularly to davanti enoteca, since it opened in the north of the river and it visited at least once all two months. management, waiting and the kitchen support have not only exceeded my expectations for good quality and well prepared eating and service. they go the extra mile to fulfill my diet menus and are most often agree to the substitutions or other modifications at my entrees. the prosciutto-veal essential balls, the warm squash farrow salate, the meerrot oktopus and the ragu of the day are always great selections and my favorites. the special zuppe di mare that I had was wonderful and they should make it a standard menu item.
